So on a whim I set up a #PixelFed account over at @[email protected] just to see what that side of the #fediverse was about.

The interface is quite different but the functions are the same; it's just geared toward image sharing.

Kinda confusing because I can see the same kind of federated posts there that I can here. The #pixelfed and #pixeldroid Android apps are currently lacking in features (and I have to use #fdroid to install), but it looks like #fedilab is capable enough to work well.

Hey How was it and I want to know if a Mastodon account user can interact with a pixelfed user. Or one have to an account on any server of both

@Sdavidprince Generally, yes, you can interact between platforms as long as both ends are federated with each other. Likes, boosts, comments, follows, reading posts, the typical stuff supported by the ActivityPub protocol.

It's cheap to set up an account on other services and try it out.
