Sometimes I question whether I’m actually autistic because I don’t hyper-fixate on specific topics, but then @RickiTarr starts talking about potatoes and I realize I have SO many thoughts and opinions and I’m like "Oh, there you go, Alice. You're definitely autistic. You just don't have the stereotypical type like train autism—you have potato autism."
@Alice Also, autistic people are stereotypically able to see patterns that neurotypicals can’t. I am the exact opposite. I can’t see patterns for shit. At the same time I have a bunch of very specific sensory issues, so I guess it evens out.
@CaptainFlab @Alice Yeah being on the specrum would be a lot easier without the GI issues that come with it
@anubis2814 @Alice Somehow I dodged that bullet, but my oldest kid appears to have made up for that. Interestingly, they suffer the most when they come back to visit the US. In Germany they’re usually fine. Weird.
@CaptainFlab @Alice Lol, jinkies, what a mystery. Almost like they actually regulate their food in europe. Crazy concept
