Has anyone of you ever successfully started meditating?

Various doctors have advised me to give it a try for various reasons. It's considered a miracle cure for stress, anxiety, migraines, poor self-discipline, and about a hundred other things. But every half-hearted attempt at guided meditation has only made me more stressed.

At the start it was a real struggle. Body scans still work best for me, everything else and my brain just goes everywhere with thoughts. It's obviously not a miracle cure, but for me it helped me to just be more mindful, in general regulate my thoughts better and it has also allowed me to flee into myself here and there (dentist ๐Ÿ˜…)

@foosel thanks for sharing your experiences โ€“ I just downloaded Headspace and am now testing if I can work with it :)
