De Duif is a hybrid neo-classicist/neo-baroque style Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam that was built in 1858. It was declared a Rijksmonument AKA a national heritage site of the Netherlands in 1995. The Banqueting House is a neoclassical style palace located in Whitehall, Central London, England. Thanks to literal bone breaking work of nearly 400 men (2 of whom broke their legs!) it was completed in 1622 and as of the 1698 fire it’s the last surviving building from The Whitehall Palace. It’s known for its gorgeous, 225 sq m ceiling that was designed and painted by Flemish artist and diplomat Sir Peter Paul Rubens and for being the site of the execution of Charles I in 1649.
