Hi.
If you'd like, I'd love to hear your opinions about this #ListeningPost episode covering the French elections, French media, and Bollore ☮️

good segment. It's not the first time The Listening Post has covered media oligarchs in France. They did it for the 2022 présidentielles and had on Nadiya Lazzouni, also of Le Média TV, and which is a great outlet. I hope Arcom gives Le Média a TNT spot. I believe there was a hearing on it this past week.

I have to say though that the claim by this Fieschi person of the Robert Schuman Center that Mélenchon "has gone out of his way to avoid condemning the specific actions of Hamas on that specific day the 7th of October" etc is just total bollocks.

He not only was precise & specific in his condemnation, but he employed the very same terms as would the ICC procureur Karim Khan. "Terrorism" is a meaningless juridical category.

Yeah, I agree and thought that sounded crazy. Why does it sound crazy ? Because it's so plain that what Hamas did was violent and targeted unarmed people (quite a few were for Palestinian rights...they were peace activists. It was a music festival, not an IDF stronghold. I don't know why Hamas targeted a music festival).

Everyone knows it was wrong including Mélenchon. Being on the left is about being a humanitarian. He would never get as much support from the voters as he does if he were antisemitic.

I don't know why there are those who can't sort out that one doesn't have to make statements condemning Hamas before then talking about genocide in Palestine, as if to constantly prove everyday of the week for 9 months that one isn't antisemitic.

Everyone with any sense condemns what Hamas did. But some people just don't get it.

People don't talk about Hamas everyday for 9 months , because Hamas aren't conducting house raids and kidnapping people, torturing (incl. s.a. of women, men and children) everyone from journalists and medical providers to media workers, and they are not destroying apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, etc. for the last 9 months.

refusing to buy into "clash of civilizations" discourse was prescient and politically courageous. Instrumentalizing the juridically vacuous idea of a "war on terror" has, just in the last 2 decades, killed and displaced millions.

That's why LFI's insistance on underscoring the asymmetric colonial violence of the whole situation never flagged. Part of being "la gauche de rupture" is also being "la gauche décoloniale". Voilà.

Okay, everybody. What do you think of MP #HuguetteBello as PM?

(Nobody cares what the #PS wants in this coalition)
