Yeah, I agree and thought that sounded crazy. Why does it sound crazy ? Because it's so plain that what Hamas did was violent and targeted unarmed people (quite a few were for Palestinian rights...they were peace activists. It was a music festival, not an IDF stronghold. I don't know why Hamas targeted a music festival).
Everyone knows it was wrong including Mélenchon. Being on the left is about being a humanitarian. He would never get as much support from the voters as he does if he were antisemitic.
I don't know why there are those who can't sort out that one doesn't have to make statements condemning Hamas before then talking about genocide in Palestine, as if to constantly prove everyday of the week for 9 months that one isn't antisemitic.
Everyone with any sense condemns what Hamas did. But some people just don't get it.
People don't talk about Hamas everyday for 9 months , because Hamas aren't conducting house raids and kidnapping people, torturing (incl. s.a. of women, men and children) everyone from journalists and medical providers to media workers, and they are not destroying apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, etc. for the last 9 months.
