I only use my desktop for gaming, it’s on windows 10. I am now determined to switch to Linux…..can anyone recommend best version for gaming on a Ryzen 5 build? Will be building a new rig at some point when I can afford it but for now this will have to do 😭

@JaxVent @davidgerard I think Steam used to use Ubuntu as its basis for Proton, the emulation layer it uses.

So you'll probably have good results with Ubuntu, or Debian (which Ubuntu is based on), or Linux Mint. Personally I use Debian, and most games I try on Steam work fine on it.

But most of the "user friendly" Linux distros are used a lot by gamers, so probably any popular Linux distro would be fine.
