In a recent big electronic parts order, I forgot one item. So now I'll need to order the forgotten $2 worth of parts and pay $10 for shipping. #Sigh.

I've been holding off doing that, while I do further testing and development. Still hoping that there will be something else I discover I need and that will make it more palatable to place the order. lol

#IForgot #maker

@ottaross we need 'Find your Digi-key partner'. There are impatient makers with $99 in their cart near you!
@kaybee335 that would be a great idea. Pool your orders and meet up to distribute the parts over a beer.

@ottaross it would. You've got the hard situation where you're only at a few bucks. If you're at $90 it's pretty easy to add some spare parts or a sensor or... to make up the difference.

Unfortunately my cart is currently empty as I don't have anything on the go electronics wise.

@ottaross This is one of the silly reasons I stopped my electronics hobby. The cost is annoying, but it was the wait that pushed me over the edge. I'd get all settled in to build the thing and realize I needed the piece.

There were other reasons, but this was the most annoying in large part because it was ultimately my fault.

@dmaonR Can be a challenge. I've built up a pretty good stock of parts over the decades to get me through most prototyping situations, but the final productizing of course you want specifically purchased parts.

#Digikey is pretty great at the rapid delivery tho – ordering in the afternoon and in my hands before lunch the next day.
