Crashes and illnesses kept reducing peloton on #TDF2024 stage 12. Pogačar's involvement also granted premature freedom to hard-fought, yet too weak breakaway, including unbreakable Abrahamsen.
In the finale, high tension and questionable road furniture stopped Roglič's yellow bid for good, while Démare was sprinting like in the old days (although too close to Van Aert) and out-of-position Philipsen could only watch Bini completing his hat-trick.
Alpecin, Lotto and Astana weakened (obviously, no more Pedersen), GC riders have tough weekend ahead of them. This must be a breakaway day, right? The problem is relatively strong crosswind. It not only guarantees nervous peloton, but also forces some puncheurs to stay with their leaders.

#GiroRosa: After completely dominating the sprint yday, Kopecky needs "only" to stay with Longo Borghini in the 3-km 8% section and outsprint her in Chieti. Just like at the #TourDeFrance, stage hunters (Grace Brown, Elise Chabbey ..) will smell their chance too.
