Make no mistake - they'd hide it if they could, like the Vision Pro and iPad (undeniably computation workhorses, but still chained by iOS-based operating systems and marketed under the perception of "magic" to prevent them from directly competing with other brands)
@wyatt8740 @derPUPE Maybe if today's Apple was given free reign to design and market the C128, they'd focus on its ecosystem and switch away from BASIC to a DOS. They'd emphasize ease of use for students and professionals alike, a large game library, and the base model would ship with not one but two floppy drive slots to make consumerism even easier.
@derPUPE And we provide a floppy disc drive with just as much computing power as the C64 itself. Just for good measure.
