The SSD in my laptop took a dump earlier today. I have a smaller one that I may use temporarily, or maybe I will just buy a new laptop. For now, the option is using my phone, or an old Dell that makes me angry.
@BorrisInABox Oh boy. Makes my H and Caps Lock key problems seem kind of insignificant.
@misterkrabs This poor laptop now has four missing key caps, dead speakers, a mostly non-functional headphone jack, and now a dead SSD. Other than that, it works great.
@BorrisInABox That sounds like a fantastic computer to be using.
@misterkrabs The stupid thing is, it really is a fantastic machine except for, you know, all that. It's an AMD Ryzen9 4900HS with 40GB RAM and an NVIDIA RTX2060, unfortunately with only 6GB of VRAM. But I guess none of that really matters right now. Lol
@BorrisInABox Dang, that does seem to be a pretty nice machine.
@BorrisInABox At least your device isn’t a 2012 MacBook Pro whose battery is so swollen that the trackpad is coming up…
@kd0ess I had two MacBook Airs like that. In both cases, I replaced the battery myself. Unfortunately, on one of them, it doesn't remember how to battery anymore, and now turns off as soon as it is unplugged, despite saying it has 86% charge all the time.
