I'm writing a piece, and I wanted to solicit you all for opinions in preparation: What is the "Best" political party in the world?

You can just say the name if you want, with no further explanation, you can reply Private if you want. But ideally, I would like to know some of the following:

  • What are their current policies and priorities?
  • What does their country need?
  • Who comprises their political base?
  • What are some of their weakest points?
  • What kind of tradeoffs do they tend to make?
  • What do they hold firm to, almost without exception?
  • Positioned worldwide, how do they stand out as being an exemplary party?
  • NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT ARGUE WITH OR TRY TO DISPROVE ANYBODY ELSE'S. JUST SUBMIT YOUR OWN INSTEAD.

    1. Utilitarian, whatever works.
    2. Basic services: housing, food, buying power for the working class.
    3. A populist, left-leaning centrist party that aims for 60%+ consensus.
    4. Aiming for consensus leaves some ethical issues on the sidelines.
    5. What is possible is considered with higher priority than what is ideal.
    6. If the evidence shows a program isn't working, move on.
    7. Statespersons, constantly focused on the actual and coalition building instead of idealism.
