Is it condescending if someone refers to my desire to be paid in exchange for editing their (admittedly short, only 1,300 words) story as 'entrepeneurship'?

It ruffled my feathers slightly, but I think it's very possible I was just being oversensitive.

@sec_yote_agenda I wouldn't call it condescending. I'd call it disrespectful. I recognise that there's a need for community editing that doesn't cost fledgling authors money, but that doesn't mean a professional shouldn't charge for their expertise. If the person doesn't want to pay, then they can look elsewhere. No need to be shitty about it.

@Kandrel TBF, they weren't shitty at all other than their using that term, which they very possibly didn't realize sounded a bit potentially condescending.
