for example, andreas kling thinks that asking to use inclusive or gender-neutral language is, and i quote, “advertising one's personal politics” and thus not an appropriate request to be made towards a project.

It's a minor nitpick, but I think it's important; assuming the user and/or developer of the operating system is male isn't exactly the best.

@mawhrin I'm not remotely surprised. Ever since I learned about his "no politics" rule and the fact that he laughs at codes of conduct (he made a joke COC for Serenity then deleted it claiming it "was for a problem that didn't exist) his whole demeanor started to rub me the wrong way.

I made this toot a few days ago, primarily for posterity, because when the other shoe drops I want to be able to say "I told you so" (purely for egotistical reasons):
