I am flabbergasted by how quickly and totally Nintendo fucking dropped the 3DS. This thing is one of my favorite things in the entire world and they could have just sat on its marketplace forever.

But that wouldn't let them charge full price for 3DS games later on, I guess

Nah but like. Needlessly cruel market decisions like hard-dropping the 3DS just to preserve brand integrity, or implementing always-online DRM so they can hypothetically save an imaginary future sale are a big reason why every year I am more and more convinced that bothering with the mainstream games space at all is just a net negative experience

I don't pirate new games because that still gives them a level of importance that I don't feel these morbidly bloated life-ruining "luxury" goods earn anymore, if they ever did in the first place

@duskwingmoth nodds in agreement

Almost all AAA, AA, A+ ... [big mainstream] games are "#Anticipointment" at best if not a total waste of money and time...

I'd rather buy some #physical releases of #IndieGames, tho even that doesn't prevent one from facing anger, pain and frustration...

  • Seriously, I wish #Copyright would be 'fixed' by virtue of forcing #FRAND provisions on the #IP holders, lapsing the instant they refuse to offer said #games to buy new!
