…before you hand your lean browser hopes to andreas kling, remember that the dude is a transphobe who hides his transphobia behind the “this is political and thus should not have place here” language.

for example, andreas kling thinks that asking to use inclusive or gender-neutral language is, and i quote, “advertising one's personal politics” and thus not an appropriate request to be made towards a project.

Gender neutral language within build instructions by Tunas1337 · Pull Request #6814 · SerenityOS/serenity

It's a minor nitpick, but I think it's important; assuming the user and/or developer of the operating system is male isn't exactly the best.

@mawhrin as one of the few trans* and more queer authors of SerenityOS I want to express my concern with calling Andreas a transphobe over that.

I think my friend and fellow trans* SerenityOS author @filmroellchen summed it up best in her recent blog post about Andreas stepping down as BDFL: https://filmroellchen.eu/blog/serenityos-changes/

@networkexception @mawhrin @filmroellchen ok so from that post it sounds like he stepped down as BDFL of serenityos but that post pretty clearly states that he is by far the biggest contributor to the ladybird browser which is what OP was concerned about and specifically mentioned? brendan eich had a queer eng working on brave at one point too and tagged her whenever anyone mentioned his campaign of homophobia on twitter. it sounds like your concern is more about making it clear that serenityos is not besmirched by his presence?
@hipsterelectron @networkexception @mawhrin and this is exactly why i put it CLEARLY in my post that I do NOT, NEVER accuse Andreas Kling of transphobia. Because that has NOTHING to do with his involvement in either SerenityOS or Ladybird. He's Not Transphobic, He's Mildly Misinformed, have I made myself clear enough? Stop twisting my words, please.
@filmroellchen not clear where i twisted your words, i was asking to clarify that you were referring to serenityos and not the ladybird browser. i did not say nor even imply that you accused anyone of transphobia.
