@nwhyte really ought to be time for the unionists to be pushing for proportional representation in general elections. It’s just probably very hard for the leaders of those parties to accept that the NI of 2024 is not the Ulster of 1921 -and never will be again

@stevel Doesn't matter. The botched 2011 referendum killed electoral reform in the UK for at least a generation.

@stevel @nwhyte why should they want PR? NI parties got 4.8% of MP’s from 2.2% of the vote.

I’m in favour of PR (specifically STV) but I’m not sure it’ll particularly do NI parties any good.

@JMBragg @nwhyte i was thinking the more the unionist votes get diluted, the more they’d want their votes across the entire country added up
