It's time to talk, fam.

Is this behavior ok at an LGBTQIA+ Pride Event deemed "family friendly?"

Tell me your thoughts...

@flexghost

It sparked a conversation about the meaning of "family values" vs what's actually harmful to children. It also prompted people to think about cishet norms related to bodies and nudity.

People are more upset at seeing the human body than at... Well you fill in the blank for me.

@ttpphd Maybe you or I have different standards for nudity and what is acceptable but what are the norms and accepted limits of society as a whole? Are they different? Why are they different?
@flexghost society tries to say having a trans or nonbinary body is harmful to children. Being queer means challenging norms so you can make your own way in life. What is your belief that is being challenged here?

@ttpphd I never brought my beliefs into this why do you need to make it personal?

Can you engage with the points being made or no?

Why do you feel the need to lecture a lesbian on what it means to be queer?

Interesting.

@flexghost excuse you, I am engaging with your points. You asked about what our different perceptions are of the limits and I asked you to clarify what you felt the limits were.

Excuse you for playing the lesbian card. I'll play Uno reverse on that one.

@ttpphd @flexghost

OMG WHAT?!?!
What are you replying to? Now you're mad at her for being lesbian?

This is a joke right? This can't be real

@morespecs

What she did was turn to a queer person and say "don't you know who I am? How dare you challenge any of my assumptions about what being queer means".

@ttpphd No she didn't. You exploded with a slew of irrelevant takes after attacking her

I don't expect you to see that.

@morespecs

She absolutely did, and I'm not interested in your reality denial.
