Today, France is voting for a new assembly (first round, second round ~in two~ next week).

The assembly will decide of a new government (Macron remains president in all cases).

And it is very likely that the extrem right will be first, in the worst scenario even reaching majority.

This is an absolute disgrace and horror. People are actually voting for extrem right, forgetting what happened each time they got their hands on power.

There's an hope. You can still vote Front Populaire to avoid that. Ffs, go voting!

And so, the first polls give the extrem right at 34 fucking percents, a blasting 16% more than two years ago.

Macron told us, repeatedly in 2017 and 2022, his mission was to fight extrem right. Extrem right rised 20% during that period.
A system is what it does, not what it tells.

Macronie is the system that gave extrem right its historical best result (well, at least since 1940 and Vichy government at least).

And, so, statistically, I know several people who voted extrem right. Fuck you to these people. You're opening a Pandora box that is known to contains the worst of human emotions. All that to give power to fucking populist gritters.

The first polls seems to hold, and we're witnessing a tiping point.
Extrem right is fisrt in most places.
Still, not everything is lost until next week.

There's at least 270 places (out of 577) where one extrem right, one macronist, one front populaire (left) are qualified for the second round. And both the leaders of macronist and front populaire asked to the one in third place to not continue, to let the other non extrem right more chance to win.
We have to wait until Tuesday 18h to see if the call will be followed, and hope that most of these places will win over the far right.

But even then, the far right is forseen to have more than 270 seats, so the possibility of a majority is very real.

We will need each voices against it next week. On some places, the election is done with less than 150 voices appart (out of 15~20k).
