I'm sending the keyboard kit back. Absolute junk. The software for Windows has malware and the one for macOS does not recognize the keyboard. In addition, if you manage to save something on the keyboard, the keymapping goes crazy
@revengeday ew! That sucks! I thought this whole time you were just replacing keycaps, but that sucks!
@Bit_form Ha, I first installed the switches, then the keycaps, then tried to set up the keyboard somehow, then removed the keycaps again, then removed the switches again and after that put the thing back in its packaging and registered a return.
@revengeday I wonder if it is flashable with qmk what board is it or any info on microcontroller
@blake now I have already packed everything up again and prepared it for return shipment :D
@revengeday Ah ok no worries :) I hope you find something that works! I could post you a bare pcb, but only have 65% layout ones (my own design). Looks like you are after a more ergonomic one.
@blake I only took the Alice keyboard so it wouldn't look so normal with the Arasaka keycaps ;D
@revengeday that's messed up, where did the kit come from?
CIDOO ABM066 Barebones Kit

@revengeday thanks, I wonder how deep this rabbit hole goes.
@ArtifexUmbra I believe the rabbit hole is probably quite large when it comes to cheap keyboard kits.
@revengeday yea seems like an obvious niche to target
@ArtifexUmbra I will investigate the software a bit more soon. At first glance, it sends a lot of information to a CN server.
@revengeday I have some time to poke around from mobile, If I see anything interesting I'll post it here.
