Looking for earbuds/headphones/headsets recommendations for EEG-TMS stuff (play white noise during recording).
Will active noise cancellation contaminate the signal?
Kirstin-Friederike Heise@phivph you won’t be able to cancel out the TMS sounds transmitted through bone conduction. If that is a problem you need to control for it with your experimental design, i.e. adequate control conditions. Other noise cancellation works well with brown or pink noise. MRI compatible etymotic earphones https://www.etymotic.com/earphone-accessories/ did not induce artifacts in the EEG

@phivph yes, white noise is actually quite painful to listen to.
