(actually, this one was really interesting to watch. It's funny how similar it feels in places to the vde8 in germany. All cab signaling, the regularly-spaced radio towers for CBTC, the concrete track, some tunnels in the newer one-tunnel-per-track style, even with the little sound dampening chutes, some in the older style, etc. I guess the world really just has figured out how to do high-speed rail, and that's how everyone does it now）
terru@ant i mean, i’m not sure you can be much faster inside DE? (well i mean, given the whole “we don’t have enough 300km/h-capable trains for the high speed lines we do have”-conundrum, you can be slower though. If I’m guessing the line in that video correctly, last time i was on it was on a 411, which doesn’t do above 230km/h … so that was disappointing in a way, even if we did arrive in time and all 🙈)
@stuebinm vde8 is faster tho, no? But yeah, not many lines where can go this fast in Germany. Which is kind of okay, right? Germany isn't nearly as big as China
