It does work over my normal 5Ghz WiFi as well. I can play in my hallway without a 10m USB cable.

How well did it work? I'm wanting to ditch Windows but Virtual Desktop has no Linux version of the streamer app, and ALVR's Linux support is experimental.

@kavuskazian it needed a bit tinkering (as most things) but it worked stable the 5 minutes I was playing unfortunately I have to let it charge now haha.

@odawgie that is exactly the reason why I'm telling ~, to give you a go to try it now too. from the issue-board it seems that more and more people got it to work lately.
