not sure if it's cheap enough for your needs but i love the LG 27 Inch UltraFine 5K
This is probably not the best for gaming (i think they want faster refresh) but it is an excellent monitor with enough resolution that you can't see the pixels, and it's wide enough you can have a reference doc on one side + what you're working on beside it.
If mine broke I'd buy it again without hesitation.
