If I want a good road bike for about 500-1000EUR what brands should I look at? I refuse to consider Decathlon or any of their sub brands due to them still operating in russia. Main purpose, Triathlon. I already have a Canyon Grizl gravel bike I use for most of my sport riding.

For now only a short distance triathlon, maybe Olympic at max. I know I need to get something proper for 70.3 and Ironman if I ever get that far.

@lehtimaeki would you consider buying second hand? Answering to that question could dramatically change what you can get.

@benjo Yeah I think so. Just need to understand what to look for or leave a budget for repairs. Of course always a bit of a risk but probably manageable.

@lehtimaeki if triathlon is your main goaI, I would look for a second hand aero bike with a decent groupset (for example Shimano 105). I heard you can find good deals on https://buycycle.com, but never tried it.

@lehtimaeki my road bike is very neglected since I got my gravel, I honestly think a gravel with 2 sets of wheels is a great setup.
