that game is so brutally simple and pure in its story and design, but maybe that's why it stands out to me, in a world where things are complicated

Also the simplicity allowed me to do all available things when I wasn't sure from the dialogue where to go next.
pastel_dreamer@endali i just finished it last night! my first time playing an FF game :^) its simplicity was soo endearing to me, in a world where these tropes are often lampshaded, i loved how by the books its story and gameplay is, it is classic
