@ThePlant same with my Google TV stick. When I bought it for I think it was 70€ back then, no ads where shown, then suddenly with a software update they added ads 🙄 Maybe you can try to change the dns provider to dns.adguard-dns.com or another adblock-server. Or if it doesn't work set it system wide via the router. At least this worked for me on the Google TV. I don't see ads there anymore.
