Austin Govella@steveportigal agree. Though it begs the question: what kind of content would you like to see on LinkedIn. I was thinking about this yesterday. I think I would like to see people sharing interesting “work” related links. And maybe what they’re working on, for those who can work with the garage door up.
@austingovella I am okay with how people feel about work as well but there's a slippery slope between interesting and authentic community building and self-aggrandizing and the distinction is dynamic as the algorithm trains us what to do
Mark Connolly moved to @@steveportigal @austingovella Many years ago, a bunch of colleagues and I thought very little of LinkedIn and it’s skills section (or whatever it was called then). We all endorsed each other as experts in “Lists” and a few other obviously silly things that I can’t recall now.
@steveportigal @austingovella Ha! I just checked and they’re still there! My skills include “envelopes” and “endorsements”. Further down the list are “snakes” and “ladder”. 😀

Snakes N’ Barrels is Pickles' first band. They enjoyed enormous success as a glam metal/hard rock band in the 1980s-1990's. However, they eventually folded due to constant drug abuse, as well as Pickles' growing disdain for the glam metal genre, needing heavier music. After its end, Pickles went on to join Dethklok, while the rest of the members suffered from poverty and sobriety. When they hold a reunion tour with Pickles, they are all driven insane by the drug the Tribunal's military developed
