We have community gardens and backyard gardens that "grow an extra row" to donate to the local food bank. We have a community garden downtown that folks maintain that anyone can come grab food from it. We have hot meals cooked every night by various groups in town.
I specifically (and others specifically) don't have yards so we grown indoors. I grow with low cost, low maintenance, and passive hydroponics. We distribute these out through the local community fridge. It's mutual aid, not charity. We're building post-scarcity institutions.
