Maybe a little overdue for a new nozzle. #3dprinting

@akuake one vote for a #Diamondback nozzle. I put one in years ago and it's still pumping out amazing prints.

Also it's worth picking up a few brass brushes. I find that heating out up to print temperatures, giving it a light scrub brings it back to looking new-ish.

@jmw Diamondback nozzles are awesome! Unfortunately I don't think that I can justify paying almost as much for a nozzle as I did for my printer, especially not when 30 brass nozzles are under $10.

@jmw @mutthew Old nozzle went through a few sessions with a brass brush while hot, which worked reasonably well but took far more than 30 cents of my time. Now that I've swapped it out I might experiment with soaking it in a solvent like ethyl acetate. Any experience cleaning nozzles with solvents?

@akuake @mutthew Nope, can't say that I have as I use a variety of engineering materials which (unlike PLA) do not react to ethyl acetate.

I do see some notes that just because it softens the material does not mean it dissolves it and ethyl acetate tends to make PLA 'gummy', meaning you'll need to brush, poke, etc it out of the nozzle and it likely won't just 'dissolve'.
