Ross TimsonGot two calls from a call centre sounding guy but from a mobile phone claiming that I'd rang him, told him I hadn't and there are definitely no outbound calls in my history, is this some weird new scam thing somehow?
ed(1) conference@rosstimson spammers can spoof their outbound number, so they likely randomly chose yours to spoof from, confusing both the call-recipient and you when the recipient tried calling you back. I've had it happen a couple times in the last few months and generally try to be amiable to the poor person on the other end.
