Got another person calling me LOTS then a text saying "Who is this" so it would seem that scammers totally are now spoofing my number. Very annoying, it's one thing getting spam/scam calls and just blocking them but now I have legit people pinging me too. 🤦♂️
ed(1) conference@rosstimson spammers can spoof their outbound number, so they likely randomly chose yours to spoof from, confusing both the call-recipient and you when the recipient tried calling you back. I've had it happen a couple times in the last few months and generally try to be amiable to the poor person on the other end.

Diane Bruce@rosstimson Scammers are now spoofing phone numbers. It's just possible the scammer managed to spoof your number. I'd ignore it.
