Just rewatched a few TOS episodes for the first time in many years and Kirk is so wrong it makes me wanna rip my own face off. I did, however, enjoy the one (“The Ultimate Computer”) where an experimental starship AI gets installed on the Enterprise. Kirk is worried he’ll be out of a job, until the AI goes all HAL9000 and starts murdering, and its deluded inventor turns out to be illogical. Timeless AND timely. #StarTrek
Hard not to think of “self-driving” Teslas running over innocent pedestrians and bursting into flames.

@iBlame

It'd be more efficient if they just burst into flames.

@johntimaeus Undoubtedly that’s what Spock would say
@iBlame I blame the writers- in my heart I know Kirk is perfect but he's forced to come ACROSS like a giant doof.
@TriggerLoop Ha! Good to see you, old chum!
@iBlame I get on here like very 6 months but only to check on the Duchess. The Texas-style heat we are having in Pittsburgh made me think of a tub of cool whip which of course led to the Dreadful Acres
@TriggerLoop oof that’s rough. The heat, not the cool whip. Cool whip is still very hot stuff in my world.

Computer: Romulan ship has decloaked, raised shields, and charged disruptors, this suggests a friendly dinner invitation. Rocks are considered a delicacy and the traditional greeting of peace and friendship is to knee them in the groin.

Kirk: Get it off my ship. I want this thing off my ship, and I want it off my ship now.

@StarkRG I’ve heard Romulans’ favorite food is Glue Pizza
