@lritter @aras thanks for thinking of me Aras :)
It is crazy isn't it??!
@demofox speaking of you… hey look something “FAST” might be going into this little known 3D app soon. https://projects.blender.org/blender/blender/pulls/123156
EEVEE: Implement FAST Blue Noise

EEVEE in its current form has a lot of correlation issue with effects taking a long time to converge to noise free results. The recently published FAST noise paper and design documentation have some great insight about robust sampling for spatio-temporal denoising. https://github.com/electronica...

@aras oh wow thanks! Sharing with my peeps :)
@demofox it is very WIP so far, may or might not ship, etc. But I thought you might find it interesting.
@aras yeah it is and it's nice to see how much thought went into it. Clement went through the doc and figured out what ought to work best for the needs.
It'll be neat to see where it ends up and how it gets there.
@demofox @aras Huge props to you (or whoever wrote the doc) for making the documentation that easy to understand. It is clearly dumb proof as I demonstrated 😄 .
@fclem @aras that was me, thank you Clement. You deeply understand the messages we wanted to convey, and other nuances, and I don't think many people do :)
Thanks a lot!

@fclem @demofox @aras you took the time to understand how the thing works, and you proposed a plan to craft specific types of noise that should fit your use cases.

We've seen too many people just dump a random FAST texture and assume it'd be the correct one for their use.

So what you did is awesome 🙂
