@jerry I had someone try the car wrap scam on me a year or so ago. I played them for quite a while. They sent me cashiers checks to “my apartment” (Wrigley Field) and then I said send it to “my work” (FBI field office in Chicago).
Then I said I got it but had to drive to Windsor Canada to deposit it. They texted me throughout my “drive” across the border.
Lots of fun.
@jerry I get tons of these. It might be fun to mess with them, but in many cases the people on the other end have been trafficked by criminal syndicates and are forced to scam against their will.

While it's certainly entertaining isn't it a problem to answer to spammers? They now know that your number is valid and someone reads their messages.
