Father’s Day
What is a father?
He’s the man who you argued with and contradicted
He’s the man who sometimes raised his voice to you
He’s the man who missed your sports or school plays because in his time earning money to give you a leg up was more important
He’s the man who struggled with his upbringing to give you a better one
He’s the man who was not perfect, who maybe disappointed you
At least until you grew old
If you’re lucky you realize he’s the man who did the best he could.
