If you think about it, the object of golf is to play the least amount of golf.
In which case, I'm already a winner so I'm going to sit on my lounge resting on my laurels.

I, on the other hand, play *lots* of golf. often my score after just 9 holes takes a good golfer 18 holes to achieve.
There was a great BC cartoon about this topic. Always made sense to me.
Why do it at all?
I must be great at it. I dont play at all.
Oh, I thought it was to buy the most amount of clubs? Or aerodynamic balls. Or highly engineered tees. Or the most atrociously unfashionable clothes.
