I understand the backlash that Adobe is facing due to their licensing / privacy situation. But the thing is Discord also has similar language in their policy and they have also been moving to offer more AI services. I know a lot of people use Discord for art sharing and I can see it potentially become an issue for artists on the platform.
Perhaps it’s the language used vs Adobe but it still seems problematic to me.
@dosmaen88 This is pretty standard for an online service. They require a license to the content in order to store and display it in-app to other users. Modifying reformatting etc.. is around changing image formats, resizing and other things useful to handle the images in the service.
@dosmaen88 Now that's not to say these terms couldn't be abused, but the important difference is that Adobe isn't a platform where you're explicitly asking them to hold and share your content with others. They have no need for such a license.
@dosmaen88 Realistically you should find similar terms on retro pizza's t&cs if they're written correctly.
