We don’t want this climate future for Europe - in my view it’s a risk we should avoid at all cost, as I explain in this video: https://youtu.be/ZHNNW8c_FaA?si=q6zfbqSKA1UXbNvy
Tipping risk of the Atlantic Ocean's overturning circulation, AMOC. Keynote by Prof. Rahmstorf

@rahmstorf Seems like at today's elections Europe, and even the youth of Europe, has (indirectly) voted for the AMOC collapse... So, let us know in time, where to escape ;-) Western coast of Canada seems to be an option?

@roxtal
Canada wrt to pleasant climate after AMOC and civilisation collapse?
I'd recommend an area where currently people still know how to live low-tech. Rural Southern Africa would be my suggestion, far away from cities.
Southern Africa gets cool and wet when AMOC has collapsed because El Nino is phased out and a permanent La Nina kicks in.

Survivors need the safety and shared knowledge in a community. Lone warriors, people with bunker mentality, or who plan to live as nomads on canned food and other residue of the crashed civilisation have no future.

Canada's population to my uninformed mind looks far too tech-dependent. One would have to actively create a new community there today which focuses solidarity and building a body of then-relevant knowledge from scratch.🤔
