Mark vW@antifaintl Streetfighting Nazis is the stupidest strategy imaginable. Consider the Weimar-Era German Communist streetfighting thugs. Prime Nazi strategy is creating fear while positioning themselves as the guarantors of order and stability. Streetfighting plays right into that (note that Nazis are never a majority party). It is also idiotic tactically, because 8 or 9 times out of 10 the cops will protect Nazi streetfighters over anti-Nazi streetfighters. Suspect Putin propaganda here.

@mathew @antifaintl That is not even hard. (1) political engagement; (2) willingly compromise with non-nazi political enemies, (3) work for strong unions.

@markvonwahlde @antifaintl Brüning was from the coalition's Centre Party and was chief executive of the trades unions until 1930. How does his being unable form a coalition majority after Nazi election gains, and so resorting to governing by edict, support the idea that a coalition and unions are the way to avoid fascism?
