Mark vW@antifaintl Streetfighting Nazis is the stupidest strategy imaginable. Consider the Weimar-Era German Communist streetfighting thugs. Prime Nazi strategy is creating fear while positioning themselves as the guarantors of order and stability. Streetfighting plays right into that (note that Nazis are never a majority party). It is also idiotic tactically, because 8 or 9 times out of 10 the cops will protect Nazi streetfighters over anti-Nazi streetfighters. Suspect Putin propaganda here.

As to why this is, consider how effective fascists are at presenting themselves as providing safety if they lose streetfights, and how much physical harm they're able to cause when not resisted (e.g. look at the EDL in Luton in the UK in 2011) - especially given the police collaboration that you currently point out.
