It's Worldwide Knit in Public Day today, and honestly I just can't be bothered.

There are no official groups anywhere near us (one of these years I will organise one myself I swear!) so my plan was to take my knitting bag and maybe a small picnic and just go sit in a nearby park and see if anyone came over to chat.

But after the unexpected dentistry this week, and looking at the generally damp and chilly forecast...yeah I'll skip this one.

To anyone taking part this year, I hope you have a great time and the rain holds off just long enough!

Here's a pic of my haul from last week's #GreatBritishYarnCrawl instead, which I'm pretty sure I forgot to post until now 😅

World Wide Knit in Public Day
@thegiddystitcher One of my local-ish yarn shops is having a KIP picnic in a park tomorrow, but it's 2 buses and a longish walk for me to get there, and there's nowhere to sit except the ground. I'm planning on walking to the local market outside the tube station instead, & sitting there with my knitting & a bottle of iced coffee! I don't think it'll be warm enough to take my jacket off, though...

@Knitronomicon Oof yeah, anything involving multiple buses AND a walk is a big ask, it's usually the same to get anywhere from here so I feel the pain.

Sounds like a nice plan though if the weather cooperates! Have fun 😁
