They say a picture speaks a thousand words
What I find most interesting isn't the image itself, but that someone selling expert guidance on "prompt engineering" felt it was fine to use it in that context.
It adds weight to my suspicion that the real key to being "productive" with generative transformers is not caring that the output's wrong.
"The trick, William Potter, is not minding that it hurts."
@jasongorman indeed. So it’s great when I suffer from analysis paralysis and need some anger to break me out of it.
@jasongorman Which is kind of in-line with the devaluation of the term “productivity”, as in the capitalist interpretation it stopped caring about side-effects a while ago.
@dzwiedziu @jasongorman "Externalities, schmexternalities!!!"
@jasongorman It's a book on promnt enojneering, whv woulònť it óe?
@jasongorman the autogenerated replies are the cherry on top
@jasongorman
In that picture, they're not all words.
@jasongorman Personally, I really like the word "bodoing" and I wish we all would start using it.
@jasongorman @confuseacat i went to school for 10 years, paid down a 6-figure student loan, to learn how to impeni bodoing properly. i bet ChatGPT can’t even *find* the right clobis. smh
@ptoothfish @jasongorman @confuseacat
I mean this is fairly simple. The ergonomic functionalities of the neumorphic UI are contingent upon the successful parsing of haptic feedback loops. If you meticulously bodoing the nonsyntactic algorithms you can rapidly optimise the cross-platform neural network. Piece of cake.
@jasongorman "Well said! Interesting!" is the icing on the cake.
@OddDev I think it's hilarious that most of the comments seem to be auto-generated.

@jasongorman I don't get why people still engage on LinkedIn. Every single bit is artificial.

Like it's not even about the culture or content anymore.

@jasongorman @OddDev it is a convenient place to farm recruiters when you need them (my two latest job both was picked there) … and also a good place for them to play with each other so they stay away from you in between those times.
@jasongorman it will be important to master Promnt Enajneering to fully participate in the modern economy
@jasongorman this opens the question of whether LLMs do better or worse at drawing CJK than they do at drawing Latin
@jasongorman I need to learn more about "inpeni bodoing"
@jasongorman I'm gonna start calling so-called "Prompt Engineers", mockingly "Promnt Enajneers" now
@jasongorman I might pick it up. I could really use some personal branding clଇs.

@jasongorman

Well, this picture speaks exactly these words:

@jasongorman @tthbaltazar all the snake oil SEO people quickly migrating to prompt engineering
@jasongorman they tell me that the future will be bots talking to other bots, seems we’re well on our way
@jasongorman And the thousand words is "bullshit" repeated a thousand times.
@jasongorman I want to learn more about inpeni bodoing! Sounds like heebeejeebeing on a sproinged level and I need that for my waboodle.
@jasongorman the world is a depressing place....
@jasongorman @Eliot_L I like that it mentions bodoing. That’s what’s all about. Without some bodoing, it won’t work.
@jasongorman A thousnial wrras
@quantensalat That's a lot of wrras! Some might even say *too much* wrras
