No-brainer features to add to #obsidian:

1. cannot be achieved as a plugin
2. are useful to at least 80% of people

Modularity is key to keeping the app fast. The 5 plugins you use are not the 5 plugins someone else uses.

5 out of 1,700 plugins = 117 trillion different setups

@kepano I'm a big fan of the excalidraw plugin, but it still feels a bit clunky to use sometimes and I suppose the learning curve might be a bit too step for new comers to obsidian.

I'm convinced that #obsidian would greatly benefit a native integration of a drawing tool (which could be some sort of upgrade of the current canvas plug-in)

in other words: frictionless inline drawing canvas that you could add and edit without leaving the note you are working on. The ultimate combination of text and visual :) I imagine it especially powerful on touchscreen tablet-like devices and e-ink computers.

I am really enjoying the just released
Ink plugin(alpha):

One can directly insert **handwriting** and/or **drawing(infinite canvas)** sections into a .md note.
