@hacks4pancakes dont tell them about Europe where you can sometimes get 2 hour lunch breaks 5 weeks paid vacation, plus other holidays, and still be among the most productive countries on the planet.
@bbbhltz @hacks4pancakes Germany: after 6 hours at least 30 min Lunchbreak is mandatory by law. For a normal 8 hour work day this amounts to 45 minutes break time. (More for persons aged 18 or younger, even more for 16 yo or younger). 28-30 days of paid vacation are not unusual, but depend on job.
There are also days off for personal stuff like your own Wedding, death of a first order relative (parents, children, spouses). No work for 6 weeks before estimated date and 8 weeks after giving birth.

@bleistifterin @hacks4pancakes I live in France. My current employer gives 2-hour lunch breaks, 5 weeks vacation (3 must be consecutive), basically every holiday and school vacation too, meal vouchers, parental leave, my wife works there too she had 7 months maternity leave, vacation vouchers, price reductions for other things, health and dental, etc.

When I lived in Canada they tried to force me go to work with glandular fever (mononucleosis). I worked in a pharmacy.
