3 of 12/ Trump continues, ..."And, ahhh [pause] it's a very strange situation. Nobody's ever seen anything quite like it."
4 of 12/ Trump continues to try to besmirch and intimidate Judge Juan Merchan – who's presiding in the Republican candidate for president's Felony Trial for Election Interference. Of course, this was also another Trump campaign speech.
5 of 12/ Of particular note, as Trump says, "Ahhh, let's say complicated", we see the following dynamics of rage expressed on his face:
• Extreme tightening of region below the nose and above upper lip
• Extreme thinning of lips
• Flaring nostrils
• Extreme Forward Trust of Jaw
...
6 of 12/ Simultaneously, we also see:
• Deepening of the vertical furrows between his eyebrows (anger)
• Contempt (right side of Trump's face [*his* right])
7 of 12/ Watch closely a loop of this brief clip for emphasis. Be sure to observe each of the above-mentioned facial movements/behaviors.
8 of 12/ His jaw thrusts forward to a lesser degree as Trump says, "complicated and conflicted" – and again just prior to him saying, "It's a very strange situation".
9 of 12/ As Trump says, "... but let's also say conflicted..." his torso moves laterally (side-to-side). This is a signal of self-righteousness.
10 of 12/ Notice too, as Trump says, "Nobody's ever seen anything quite like it", he is elevating on his toes (watch his shoulders). This is another signal of an adrenaline surge and, in this context, a sign Trump feels quite braggadocio when making this statement.
