Kandi#RHOPI S02E08: Airing Now 🍸
The stage is set for the housewives reunion. Two couches are perpendicular to a grand armchair. The audience and the housewives take their seats as filming is about to begin. The host walks onto the stage and sits down in the main chair. “Welcome to the Real Housewives of Pop Industry season two reunion” shouts @Kandi.
“Um…” wonders @Normani as @NewYork shouts “WHAT THE FUCK?”. “Where is Andy?” @Kesha asks, wondering why the usual housewives host Andy Cohen is not present.
Kandi tries to explain about Andy’s sexual harassment scandal as @MeghanTrainor pipes up; “you mean the one you’re also involved in?” Kandi flips her off before reaffirming that due to the scandal, Andy has been suspended and cannot host this reunion.
“This is illegal!” shouts @GwenStefani. Normani, who has done her research as part of the presidential campaign, clarifies “actually, it’s not” before she is quickly cut off by Gwen shouting “well it should be!” The housewives squabble amongst themselves as Kandi tries to douse any metaphorical flames. Then, a booming voice shouts “QUIET!”
The voice was none other than New York who has now stood up from her seat and has begun marching towards Kandi. “LISTEN HERE”, she threatens. She explains that she will not tolerate anyone else being the impromptu host and states that she herself is the only rightful choice as she’s “THE ONLY A-LIST CELEBRITY HERE”.
The housewives once again start arguing with each other, but New York isn’t quite finished. Unable to control herself, Tiffany begins attacking Kandi; dragging her off the host chair and onto the floor. Security is soon called.
Following a small intermission, Kandi has returned to her position as host despite looking visibly beat up - physically and mentally. She explains that New York has now been barred from the premises and will no longer take part in the reunion. As she says this, loud banging can be heard from outside the venue.
Gwen, Kesha and Normani sit on one side of Kandi as Meghan barely fits in a couch of her own. After some initial re-introductions, Kandi turns to each of the housewives one by one to ask them the most pressing questions about the season.
Kandi directs her first question to Gwen. Following footage of Gwen discovering her African ancestry, Kandi asks how this has reshaped Gwen’s life and political career going forward. “Well,” starts Gwen, “I have ALWAYS identified as a woman of every single color, so the results weren’t shocking to me. I am blue, I am green, I am yellow…” she goes off on a tangent.
Kesha asks if that makes her a rainbow to which Gwen has an immediate freak out and almost faints at the realisation. Having recovered, Gwen says that her politics haven’t changed because she hasn’t changed. However she accidentally concedes that the republican party will be ecstatic to have a new token diversity candidate going forward.
Rolling her eyes at Gwen’s whole segment is her newest political rival Normani. Noticing this, Kandi shifts her questioning to Normani instead. “Let’s state the facts”, Kandi starts, “you were fired from RCA this season”. Gritting her teeth, Normani reluctantly says “yeah”. Kandi then asks her if she’s worried the same will happen for her presidential campaign.
Normani stutters over her words as Kandi drives the knife in further asking why she should vote for someone who got fired for being so unreliable in the first place. Stunned, Normani just shouts random words to distract from the situation. Delivering one final bombshell, Kandi mumbles “RCA isn’t the only thing you’ll be fired from after today…”
“Kesha sweetie”, Kandi starts, nicely enough before turning on the shade as she asks Kesha exactly what her storyline was this season. Kesha is upset at the insinuation that she has done nothing all season and fires back that Kandi herself has also had no storyline.
Ignoring this, Kandi claims to have a viewer question from someone named G-Andy. It reads: “How does it feel that you did less this season of #RHOPI than Robyn Dixon's 8 seasons of #RHOP?” Unfortunately, no one on the cast knows what this toot means. Kesha responds; “Sir and/or madam, @Rihanna isn’t even on this show. Next”.
