List of games that Buddha would not play - Wikipedia

Games Buddha Would Not Play dates to "the 5th or 6th century BC" is the earliest known list of games.

Write a new list called something like "Games Buddha Still Would Not Play" and you'd have a nice historical bookend of the *last* known list of games. (For probably a few seconds.)

@mogwai_poet You gotta carefully time your post to right before the nuclear war and/or BGP Kessler Syndrome event
@mcc Or just write a list bad enough to end civilization
@mogwai_poet was trying to come up with a sufficiently nuclear take in this space… all I can think of is "Chess is overrated" and a lot of professional chess players believe that one. I should sleep
@mogwai_poet Had a dream that an aged Kurt Russell (possibly Val Kilmer) was a gruff, taciturn guide in a snow-swept postapocalyptic landscape, trying to transport people between underground safehouses… his charges would never listen to him and kept getting themselves killed despite Kurt's best efforts… I hoped the Gaming Take that Ends Civilization would reveal itself to me in a dream, but it appears I tuned slightly too far into the future…
@mcc Dream tuning is tricky work
@mogwai_poet I keep seeing "Games Buddha" and thinking about some kind of awful new age videogame youtube channel.
@mogwai_poet I'm a bit disappointed I can't find anything else about the leaf pipe toy.
ഓലപ്പീപ്പി - വിക്കിപീഡിയ

@Farbs Plausible, how did you find this?

@mogwai_poet I gave up on the name and just looked for related words. Leaf, toy, blow, pipe etc.

You can find a lot of this if you search for Coconut Whistle.

@mogwai_poet Today I learned Budha would not have played D&D.
@Slade Is that the one where you play with toy bows?
@mogwai_poet game idea: you're a bored early Buddhist trying to find ways to amuse yourself without running afoul of the Buddha's ever-expanding list
