@jeffowski I’d go even further and say that the mere existence of all sexual minorities, whatever they are, do not pose a threat to anybody’s existence. Yep, I’m an old-fashioned supporter of radical liberation.

Gay rights are great and all, but whatever happened to gay *liberation*? After Stonewall but before Anita Bryant, radical liberation and anti-assimilationism was baked into the fabric of the Sexual Revolution.

@jeffowski That isn’t quite the case anymore. Radical liberation and anti-assimilationism has always been a part of the LGBT community, all the way back to the postwar, pre-Stonewall era of the homophile movement. Groups like the Mattachine Society and One, Inc. were not seeking for acceptance into a society that imprisoned and tortured gay people, but complete liberation from it.
