Candidate for President, on Trial for Multiple Crimes, Will Not Take the Stand to Defend Himself under Oath.
@JamesGleick He is an absolute weakling and complete coward
@JamesGleick I doubt his lawyers want that kind of exposure.
@MargaretSefton @JamesGleick His lawyers, at some point, won’t be able to stop him from legal suicide. At that point, they all just have to walk away. They did what they could, it cost them, it wasn’t worth not being paid…
@JamesGleick How did we get here? More importantly, how do we gtfo?

@JamesGleick

Fuck Trump but I do no agree that exercising one's 5th Amendment rights is inherently suspect.

@JamesGleick As much as I despise Trump, the Fifth is there exactly against this path of thinking.

@JamesGleick

And every voter should absolutely conclude that everything he's said about the case outside the courtroom is a lie.

@JamesGleick

Press conferences and debates scare the hell out of Trump. Why would he allow himself to be cross examined, especially with his lawyers begging him not to do it?

@JamesGleick Based on his recent past, when has he taken an oath seriously?
@Hankthecowdog @JamesGleick The difference is that he can be held for crimes if he lies under oath. Which means he would add more crimes to his rap sheet.
