We've adopted saying "for morale" rather than "as a treat".

e.g.,

  • Having a nap for morale.
  • Eating ice cream for morale.
  • Spending time relaxing with my wife for morale.

Turns out we do a lot of things for morale.

@SleepyCatten
I like that! 'As a treat' suggests something exceptional. But maintaining good footing emotionally shouldn't be exceptional.

@SleepyCatten the Blåhaj *bops* will continue even after morale improves 😁

*Bop*

@Nikkileah @SleepyCatten someone re-record Blitzkrieg Bop as Blahaj Bop

@SleepyCatten

The eating of ice cream will continue until morale improves.

@SleepyCatten so, the beating will continue until the treats will improve?

Sounds like a bakery shop lesson...

@ppxl Not quite sure what you mean by this. Please could you clarify? We don't want to jump to conclusions.

@SleepyCatten this is a joking reference to the idiom "the beatings will continue until the morale improves".

Given your replacement I took it from there and transposed the word "beating" and "treat" into something where both are combined: the bakery where dough gets whipped to create sth that is (usually) seen as positive.

Seeing your reaction, this humourous transformation didn't work out as I desired. Sorry 😔

@ppxl No apologies necessary whatsoever

We figured we were missing something here, so we're super grateful to you for explaining it clearly 🥰
